Her childhood was a turbulent one. As a toddler she left her mother's abusive relationship. Then she returned to Pickler's life in 1995 and was given custody of her. It didn't go according to it was originally planned. At the age of 12, Pickler aged 12, the court returned her to her maternal grandparents who brought her up to adulthood. In the absence of her parents, Pickler was too busy caring for her children. She said that because she had no time for studying, she began to learn how to cook and wash at a young time. Pickler was on the cheerleading teams of both high school and middle-school. She graduated in 2004 from North Stanly High School. Pickler has also attempted her hand as a model.
